Harry Haynes-Wright
Founder and Artistic Director

Harry Haynes

Born in London and raised in Spain, he trained at the Drama Centre, London.

As an actor he has worked at UK Theatres such as Shakespeare’s Globe, The Almeida Theatre, Theatre Delicatessen, Jerwood Theatre, Platform Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), Camden Peoples Theatre and Old Red Lion. As well as working on screen for BBC, ITV and FOX.

As a theatre maker, he is indebted to the theatrical practice of South London theatre collective DIRTY MARKET led by Jon Lee and Georgina Sowerby with whom worked with regularly and was mentored by from 2010-2018.

In 2015 he was invited back to apprentice at Drama Centre London shadowing and assisting Georgina Sowerby (former head of M.A Acting) Annie Tyson (former head of B.A acting) and Tim Robins (former head of character analysis/movement psychology). In 2016 he began teaching his own classes. His main areas of work were in the work of Doreen Cannon/Uta Hagen and The Laban Malmgren System of Character Analysis as well as directing numerous plays and scene studies.

As a director Harry was mentored by award winning director Di Trevis and worked with her at her Jerwood Theatre Workshops first as an actor and then as her assistant director, from whom he learnt the skills of dramaturgy and practical directing. It was during this apprenticeship that he worked on the repertoire of Chekhov, Harold Pinter, Tennessee Williams and William Shakespeare.

In 2018 Harry founded ‘The Liminal Space’ which uses the power of dramatic storytelling to serve the community in which we live and work.

Juliette Whitney
Scenography and Design

Juliette Whitney

Juliette is a set and costume designer who conceptualises texts, delves into the imaginary worlds in collaboration with artists, designers and directors whilst bringing to life concepts and sketches through the use of three dimensional modelling and renderings.

A designer known for her deeply atmospheric sets, she has worked across a broad spectrum of repertoire from American naturalism to post modern and expressionist plays. She brings a curiosity and poetry to her work, with a forensic eye for detail; that enriches her practice as a visual storyteller.

She has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) majoring in Design Realisation at The Victorian College of the Arts where she was awarded the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship. She has been fortunate enough to work under the guidance and mentorship of Anna Cordingley as well as Melbourne Theatre Company, The Malthouse Theatre, The Production Company, The Rabble, Bangarra Dance Theatre and at Edinburgh & Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

Nicholas Moloney
Lighting Design

Nicholas Moloney

Nicholas is a Melbourne based lighting designer. They are enthusiastic about the potential for technology to enhance the emotion of a work and to aid in the communication of concepts, themes and narrative. They are excited by collaboration and always keen to try out new ideas and processes. They have completed a Diploma in Live Production at Melbourne Polytechnic as well as a BFA (Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts, where they received a Melbourne Global Scholars Award to travel to Taiwan to attend the World Stage Design conference as well as receiving the Lionel Gell Production Scholarship.

Miles O’Neil
Sound Design, Composition, Research

Miles O’Neil

Dr Miles O’Neil is a theatre-maker, musician, sound designer, actor, director and Lecturer in Art and Performance at Deakin University. A recipient of the Australian Postgraduate Award, Miles received his PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2018. As a founding member of award-winning performance group and band the Suitcase Royale, Miles has been presented in the Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, and Dark Mofo arts festivals in Australia and internationally in multiple arts festivals in the UK, Ireland, Germany, USA, Canada and New Zealand. Outside of Suitcase Royale, Miles regularly works as a screen actor, voice over artist and a musician and has released three albums of original music with his duo Miles & Simone. His most recent creative work has been the premiere of a new work, Endings, at the 2019 Melbourne Writers Festival and the direction of Giant Adventure for the 2019 Brisbane Festival.
